I have music on every waking minute. I feel like I can’t think straight without it. Not much of a dancer. Neither was Grace. We always planned to take ballroom dance lessons, but never did. Once, on a job application that asked her to list personal attributes that qualified her for the job, Grace wrote, “I dance like a frog in a blender.” According to the manager, that got her the interview, and then she got the job..

Grace and I used to give each other mix-tapes, back in the prehistoric world before playlists. I still have the first cassette I mailed to her just weeks after Tokyo, months before we managed to get back together again for the first time. I can’t believe how bold and inappropriate some of my choices were. “Hike up your skirt a little more and show the world to me.” Yikes! I recently found a scrap of paper with a scribbled list of songs titled New CD for Thom. Someday soon, I’ll find those songs on iTunes and make the new CD she was planning to give me.

Writing about life and love, along with a few crazy stories just for fun.
